Apr 4, 2025 00:03 – Unrest at Ahyi Seamount likely continues. The last observations of discolored water over the vent area were on March 30, 2025. Similar plumes on the ocean’s surface above Ahyi Seamount have been observed in satellite imagery sporadically since August 5, 2024. No regional geophysical signals were detected.There are no local monitoring stations near Ahyi seamount, which limits our ability to detect and characterize volcanic unrest there.
